About MH Processing

Built on Practical Experience

MH Processing was created to give metal recycling and processing businesses access to practical operational support without needing to employ a full-time senior manager, process engineer or continuous improvement specialist.

The business is built around real site experience, not theory. The focus is on improving process control, plant performance, yield visibility, production systems and the delivery of improvement projects.

About Marc

A worker wearing a hard hat, ear protection, a high-visibility jacket, and safety boots stands on a walkway inspecting a conveyor belt carrying soda cans inside a recycling or manufacturing facility.

I have spent much of my career leading complex metal recycling and non-ferrous processing operations across production, engineering and site management roles.

My experience ranges from running a 12-acre, vertically integrated recycling site processing more than 100,000 tonnes of ASR and SDA residue each year into twitch and heavies, through to leading the UK operation of a specialist non-ferrous recycling business during a period of significant investment, growth and operational change.

I have managed the process engineering and technical performance of complex mechanical separation and intelligent sorting lines, including equipment selection, plant design, installation, commissioning and ongoing optimisation. My experience also includes environmental permit applications and variations, helping ensure that new equipment, process changes and increased capacity remain within the site’s permitted activities.

This means I understand both sides of the industry: large processing operations with complex plant, teams and reporting structures, and smaller owner-led businesses where the same people are often balancing production problems with the commercial demands of running and growing the company.

That practical experience is what sits behind MH Processing. I understand the pressures involved in keeping a recycling operation moving, and I focus on finding realistic improvements that can be implemented on site and deliver a measurable commercial return.

Why MH Processing Exists

Many recycling businesses do not need another report. They need someone who can understand the process, identify where control or value is being lost, and help put practical improvements in place.

MH Processing supports businesses with:

  • plant and process reviews

  • yield and recovery improvement

  • production tracking and reporting

  • downtime and bottleneck reduction

  • stock and material-flow controls

  • project implementation

  • equipment selection, installation and commissioning

  • ongoing operational support

The aim is always to leave the business with better control, clearer information and improvements that can be maintained after the work is complete.

How We Work

Practical
Recommendations are based on what can realistically be implemented on site.

Independent
Advice is focused on what is right for the operation, not on selling equipment or unnecessary work.

Commercial
Improvements are prioritised around recovery, throughput, downtime, quality, risk and return on investment.

Hands-on
Support can continue beyond the initial review into implementation, testing and validation.

Who We Work With

MH Processing works with metal recyclers, non-ferrous processors, cable granulators, WEEE recyclers, IBA processors and other businesses using mechanical or sensor-based separation equipment.

Support can be provided to growing SMEs that need more operational structure, or to larger recycling groups that need focused support around a specific site, plant, project or performance issue.
